However, Scripture is also clear that God'southward people can too have a kind of anointing, simply information technology is different than many people might call up. Nosotros run into this boosted usage of the word in 2 Corinthians 1:20-22, when Paul teaches that

Now in that location are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and at that place are varieties of service, merely the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in anybody. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to ane is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith past the aforementioned Spirit, to some other gifts of healing by the 1 Spirit, to some other the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the power to distinguish between spirits, to some other various kinds of tongues, to some other the estimation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the aforementioned Spirit, who apportions to each one individually every bit he wills(ESV).
The Holy Spirit pours himself onto, anoints, or empowers believers to perform special tasks from God to reach His purposes. This is too how John described it in 1 John 2:27.
What Does it Mean to Be Anointed by Christ?

Because of that, Paul declares that "nosotros are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for skilful works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them" (Ephesians 2:10, ESV).
Even more than, Peter preaches that Christians are "a chosen race, a majestic priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that yous may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous calorie-free" (i Peter 2:9, ESV).
